How should I pack for a Peak ?

Here you will find an exemple of a kit list that may help you packing.  Adventure Alternative Nepal also rents equipments in case you do not want to buy some of the items needed. 

Hands

  • 2 pairs windstopper gloves

  • 1 pair summit down mitts

  • 1 pair lightweight down mitts

  • 2 pair liner glove

Feet

  • Mountaineering boots graded B1 or B2 to accommodate crampons

  • Trekking boots

  • Lighter footwear to change into during the evenings

  • Crampons 12 point with extension bar for One Sports

  • Socks (8 pairs, 4 thick for high altitude & 4 hiking)

  • Gaiters

Head

  • White sunhat with neck cover

  • Spare pair of glasses and Julbo glacier glasses

  • Prescriptive sunglasses

  • 1 peak hat, 3 x Buffs

  • 3 woolly hats (varying thicknesses)

  • Climbing helmet

  • Goggles

Skin

  • Extreme SPF40 Sunscreen

  • Dermatone high altit. suncream

  • SPF25 lipcream, Lipsalve (Calmex)

  • Moisturising creams: Shea butter

Base layer

  • Thin thermals tops
