GOSAINKUNDA LAKE TREK
Gosainkunda also spelled as Gosaikunda or Gosain Kunda is the alpine freshwater lake at an elevation of 4380 metres.According to legends,
It is believed that gosainkunda, the holy lake was created by lord shiva (the hindu deity) himself when he pierced a glacier with his Trishul (Holy Trident) to extract water to cool off his stinging throat after he consumed poison.

Hence, the place is considered sacred and hundreds of people come to worship and bathe in the lake during full moon festival each august. It is also a pilgrimage site where there are religious shrines and several small stone shelters for pilgrims.
10 Days Itinerary:
Day 1 - Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 2 - Rest day and sight seeing.
Day 3 - Drive to Dhunche.(Drive approx 7-8 hours)
Day 4 - Trek from Dhunche to Sing gompa/Chandhan bari. ( walking duration 5-6 hours)
Day 5 - Trek from Sing gompa/Chandhanbari to Gosainkunda lake.(walking duration 5-6 hours)
Day 6 - Trek from Gosainkunda lake to Ghopte. ( walking duration 6-7 hours)
Day 7 - Trek from Ghopte to khutumsang. (walking duration 5-6 hours)
Day 8 - Trek from Khutumsang to chisapani. (walking duration 4-5 hours)
Day 9 - Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal (walking duration 4-5 hours) and drive to kathmandu ( 1 hour drive)
Day 10 - Departure back to home.
