SIKLES TREK
A very short and quick trek from Pokhara Sikles is a beauty on its own. With rich cultural diversity and uniqueness of the traditions. Sikles trek offers a beautiful experience of the mighty Annapurna ranges and the culture of the indegenous Gurung people. With lots of homestays along the way , you don't want to miss the hospitality of the locals at their home . Most of the trail passes through the hand-laid stone trails separating the fields .
The village itself is much maintained in its traditional and natural form. The Gurung community and their culture can be witnessed to its best in Sikles village. The trek also offers the lowest glacial lake in Annapurna region at an altitude of 2450m ‘Kafuche lake’ .
The trek can be started from Kathmandu or from Pokhara itself as well. From Kathmandu you have an option of either flying (30 mins) or driving (6.5 hours ).
Please note that the required number of participants is at a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12 participants. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean that you have to be a group of 2 to book the trip.
7 Days Itinerary :
Day 1 - Flight/ Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara- 30 mins flight / 7 hours drive.
Day 2 -Drive from Pokhara to Mahendra Cave and begin the trek to Ghale Kharka - (2710m) / 7 hours.
Day 3 - Trek from Ghale Kharka to Sikles- (1980m) / 6 hours.
Day 4 - Trek from Sikles to Taprang- 6 hours.
Day 5 - Trek from Taprang to Yangjakot and drive to Pokhara (1440m) / 5 hours trek - 1 hour drive.
Day 6 - Flight/ Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu - 30 minutes Flight / 7 hours drive.
Day 7 - Departure back to home.
